The original F110-GE-100 engine was delivered in the 40/42 block F-16 providing 28K pounds of thrust when the F-16 was equipped with the Modular Common Inlet Duct (only maximum thrust of 25,735 lb without the MCID in the Block 30). The version you are referring to with the 29.4K pounds of thrust is the -129 version of the F110. It didn't go into production until 1992 in the Block 50 F-16. Hope this helps.
Interesting background study here on the "Great Engine War" aka Alternate Fighter Engine Program (AFEP):
http://www.rand.org/pubs/notes/2007/N3618.pdfI worked at the Engine SPO at Wright-Patterson AFB (ASD/YZ at the time; '84-'89) during the AFEP program. It was exciting times!
