I thought that I liked fighting with the Camel the best, but of late I am loving the Pup. It is much more stable both flying and as a gun platform and I can trust it more to not kill me. With the Pup in SP, I have been averaging about a five to one kill ratio against aces in all Hun aircraft that I have faced.

I adore the Pup too. Our friend Agent 86 even made several =MFC= skins for it, the Tripe and the Camel and got them through the approval process. It's great having them in the skin packs! He'll be pleased you included shots of his skin in your post, BTW

I have only one problem...the Pup feels way too uber to me; I don't think it should be able to do a lot of what it can. I mean, really...I feel more comfortable in it taking on a competent human adversary flying a Dr.I than I do in a Camel!

Much as I love it, I feel guilty fighting in it. If the devs see fit to eventually reexamine its flight model and tone it down a bit at some point, I wouldn't be surprised.

The pup is my favorite Allied plane too, replacing my previous favorite of the Sopwith Triplane. It's very forgiving and a excellent, stable gun platform. True that you only have the one gun, but being so stable in flight, I find one gun is enough because it's relatively easy to get up close and put most of my rounds on target.

Yea.......is a great skin. I am a skin hog and really appreciate all th efforts of those of you that make your skins available to us non-skin-makers. Favorite Camel and one that will catch your eye.

I agree with Gunloon, like the Camel and DR1 it feels a bit too racey to be true. Less power to make it feel a bit less rorty and it'd be fine, as is low down you can dominate the opposition, engaging and disengaging at will. It is lovely to fly though

McCudden's (irc) comment that the Pup was perfect for peace time jaunts but not a real war machine doesn't sit well with the current beast we have in ROF. The ROF Pup should be more like the ROF NP17, but then the ROF NP17 should also be a bit more like the ROF Pup, if that makes any sense

I've lately started flying the Pup too over my favorite Albatros and having a Great fun with it!
I did managed to even kill the Baron MvR himself in my RNAS 3 RoF Campaign! ( Well not in his full glory as he was still in Jasta 2 flying Alb. D.II and having 16 vics at the time)...
