For that to work, you need to disable Steam cloud. Because right now it saves that ini on a server.

There is just on launcher.exe and it's a 32-bit image. It brings in about 12 libraries, and the menu system uses .NET 4.0. I'm tempted to profile the actual game running, but not sure about posting up here intense details - seems a bit off.

The russian text can not be changed in english, at least at this moment. I've had a look everywhere I could think of, and still nothing.

Yet, even if you don't know russian at all, you can use the russian menus by looking at the screenshots Oleg posted a while ago with english menu. Actually, only the Video Settings and Realis m Settings are important.


The struggle for FPS should bring the AntiEpilepcy=0 setting in the conf.ini file (after deactivating game's Steam Cloud option). The biggest FPS gain from settings can be gained by deactivating the shadows/roads/clouds/landscape details/visual effects/clickable cockpit(on/off with F10). Resolution doesn't give much of a difference, which actually means the bottleneck is not on the graphic card.

The game is not optimized at all. It's enough to watch the Pilot and Plane menu, which are only displaying a single pilot/plane, and see how poor (performance wise) is the rendering done.

Most banks with bank cards will let you set up a 'online' card that will only be good for the amount of money you put in it. So if I put $40.00 in this 'virtual' card I can only loose that amount if it is hacked and the money stollen. The 'account' is only temporary. Try it. I have used such a thing for purchase of RoF and add ons.

I'm chicken-pecking my way to the options screen, but the config files being in English help enormously.

Dropped the resolution to 1280x1024 with 8x AA and it's actually quite playable all on defaults now.

Some maniac is taxi-ing me around in a Moth at 50 mph - Sim, you were right, this trainer is crazy.

Also, Track IR 5 with Windows 7 64 bit is working fine - no problems.

Ok that's weird, because of having to wait 'till Monday to find out the amount transfered to my account my lack of paitence got the better of my and I tried to guess what it might be (yeah I know!), I was locked out of my account for being a wally but still I just checked my e-mail and they sent me a key for Steam and whadda ya know, it works!

Just 12 years to wait for it to be downloaded because of my rubbish isp!
