To all VBS1 users,

Im looking more and more into getting this. I was hoping ArmA would be mod'ed to include some sort of Iraq campaign or scenerios. But its not happening. So Im curious what modules I would need to experience a "Operation Iraqi Freedom" type of scenerio.

So far this is what I think I will need.:

Basic VBS1
US Army Pack 1
Terrain Pack 3

Is there anything else I would need?

if your going to get it, and I do not recommend that my friend, just get the DVD suite... 99% of all the downloads/extras/add-ons/and missions require almost all of them...

but yes, you are correct... basic VBS2 with those 2 packs will get you in the deserts of iraq... but (and again I do not recommend anyone buy VBS1 or 2 just because of the cost... it truly is not worth it if you don't have a honest reason... heck OFP with all the FFUR packs will give you most of what you see in VBS1) but get VBS2 instead of 1... it comes with detailed and excellent maps of the green zone and Ah...ah...ah hell I can't remember, lol, another hot area in Iraq.

but again, I do not recommend you pay these much money for VBS1 or VBS2... stick with ArmA, desert maps and maybe Iraq will come soon.

I would go for VBS2. You can add any ArmA addon to VBS2. I do miss the USARMY module for VBS2. But you get the USMC ;\) Also you get the Australian and New Zealand Defence Forces in VBS2. Hopefully soon the UK too. \:\)

Ouch, the VBS1 DVD suite is way to expensive for me right now....and VBS2 isnt even an option due to the cost.

And from what you just told me Magnum, it seems that all of the user made stuff for VBS1 requires alot of the other add-on packs....damn.
