"At least it looks very close..."
Yes, very close.
Wrong insigna on the cowling. Wrong tracing of the different colors. Wrong shapes of the mottling.
Yes, very close. If you are easily satisfied, by a half-done job, of course.
"When comparing Spitfires with Luftwaffe planes it's worth remembering that it's a lot easier to paint a Spitfire..."
I think this is not the reason. British people are very keen on their history (and they are right) and aviation buffs won't probably accept without much whining that a Spitfire, for instance, could be painted in such an amateurish way.
"How many mottle camos have these guys painted before they started their projects?"
Once again, for painted something which can cost tons of money, I think it could be possible to do some training and testing before on some sheet of metal. Of course, if you intend to do this in a professional way.

Btw what Finnish film has a 190 in it? I'd like to see that Tali-Ihantala 44 Makes brief entry in Rudorffers colours as part of nicely mixed scene of historical and reproduced film material of Gefechtsverband Kuhlmey's and FiAF's activities. Oh, btw female dogging about paint job of warbird... it's just about as lame as getting kurtisan as a gift overnight from buddies and whining about her haircolour ![banghead](/forum/images/graemlins/default/banghead.gif)
