A special treat that I remember from North Queensland is finding large Green Frogs in the toilet bowl. Friendly little cusses and perfectly harmless but a bit of a shock to the old posterior if you sat without looking. Then you go outside to find the dog's water bowl full of cane toads relaxing eating mosquitos.
