Haha Adger, I'm like that over most flight sims at the start, but most let you down after a while. WOTR has the potential.....that's for sure. I loved IL2 1946, especially with the Enjoyr campaigns added because it was possible to fly a career from Italian East Africa (or Finland) in 1940, all the way through to the end of the war, moving from Africa, to eastern Europe, back to western Europe for the Normandy campaigns and then back to the east until the Soviets reach Berlin in May 45. You could fly 400+ missions.
IL2 wasn't perfect, it certainly had flaws but it was/is the most comprehensive WW2 flight sim yet developed.
I still occasionally fly to this day with BAT or VP modpack,loved the original pacific fighters aswell. I personnally prefer IL2 1946 to the newer BOX series.
. I agree mate WOTR has massive potential and if ANY team can get the best out of the CFS3 engine its the OBD guys,i have my fingers and toes crossed that they can take this sim across Europe and beyond
