For hair raising adventure, especially during takeoff, try Jasta 18 beginning in mid- March 1917.
They are equipped with the Albatros DIII early.
They are based at Halluin/Rekkem field in Flanders and during this time and for months to come, the front lines are practically in their front yard.

You can takeoff through an artillery barrage if you are so inclined.

I also enjoy the RNAS squadrons as even a rookie will be selected to lead at times.
I am presently flying with RNAS 3 in a Sopwith Pup.
They receive the Sopwith Camel (Bentley) on July 31,1917.
