Personally, most films that I find to be grossly overrated are comedies. I guess my sense of humor is not in tune with mainstream audiences. For example I don't understand why there was such a huge media and internet blitz over movies like "Bridesmaids" and "The Hangover". Sure, they both had some funny moments but there are a bunch of other films that I found to be funnier than those two.
