It all bodes exceedingly well for SoW:BoB in my opinion \:\)

Just a couple of minor disappointments really and it really is me being picky to be honest I reckon so please don't anybody take it as a criticism as I really do appreciate how much work has gone into this update and have had a huge grin since I insatlled it...

The new view distance is utterly awesome, sadly it does mean the edge of the map can be seen all too easily in some places, which just means I'll be playing on the big maps methinks \:\)

I just wish there was someway of removing the alisaing on the shorelines.

The new skins look awesome, my only (minor) issue withthem is something that is becoming very common in games these days and that's aliasing of the skin itself, the engine panel lines on the La5FN are a classic example, it's also possible that the old skins did it and I just didn't notice \:\)

Yep its an absolutely gorgeous map! Great screen shots too...shows it off well!

The aliasing...actually its probably texture crawling on the skins was there before...its just that these skins have such fine detail. Turn up anisotropic filtering to try and cut it down a bit. If you have a nVidia card this tends to be worse.

It's finally starting to look as though there is a real, living world beneath us!

"From our orbital vantage point, we observe an earth without borders, full of peace, beauty and magnificence, and we pray that humanity as a whole can imagine a borderless world as we see it, and strive to live as one in peace."

This is so great. Just imagine how many men are sitting at home today flying around these maps with huge smiles on their face.

The La7's most recent victims - these were all shot down with one bullet.

It's actually really nice to fly it. I have hardly ever done so, mainly as it's called a noob plane. I can see why as it is just a dream to play around with. Could get addictive, especially after the clunky old Hurri MkI.

No no. Got that Kris, no worries there.
As for my flying skills, well I have actually made SOME progress now. Should change my name to something more truthful, maybe "No longer gets into flatspins very often but still is a bit of a tit when it comes to flying and aerial gunnery -man", though perhaps that's not as catchy;)

If you have an nVidia card and a high-end system you can get rid of the aliasing on the rivers by using nHancer and setting AA to Supersampling 16xS.This screen shot shows how well it works.

Here are two more shots I took with the fighter escort and fighter bombers launching side-by-side on a grass airstrip. How kewl is that?

All the best, FA_Cheech
