Thx rainer... but what the hey? 5 files to download, i try and extract them all into one folder and replaces each other, then tried to extract them all into the first extraction, same thing...

anyone know how and where to extract then play this thing?

(hope there game is better then there demo delivery method.)

If you open part 1 in winrar and double click on the file called "starter.exe" located in the folder named "OPEN" it will automatically un-pack the files in the other parts (2-5) and run the game.

For a person about to start playing, here are the important commands.


F2 is gunner of tank. Del / Ins switch between 3d in tank view and gunsite. K is to switch different gunsites one of which is closed. Press G to open it. Enter to fire MG. Right mouse to fire main. Aim with mouse. Main has to be loaded first with R key. Different rounds are selected with B key.
1 more forward. 2 move back. 3 left. 4 right. 5 stop.

I just downloaded the demo and tried it out and it's fantastic Best looking WWII tank sim I've played. The infantry, the tanks, the whole thing looks great Can't wait until they release this one.

FLY, you can zoom in using left mouse button. And if you have a scroller/roller, then you can change range. (makes shooting easier)

F9 is the only key I'm aware of.

Very cool!

F1, F2, F3, & F4 are crew positions, in which you can use the F9 key to select between the interior and an exterior viewpoint, and with key commands illustrated to be used with the presently selected position.

I think I have read all posts and the description, yet I have seen no mention of multiplay.. Did I miss it somewhere?

Anyone got a link to a faster download mirror ? I am getting 17kbps here in the UK on a 5mbps line.

Zvlad sent me a email alerting me to the alpha. Thought that was a very generous to take the time.

It doesn't seem to support anti-alaising. I have jaggies despite setting the card in the ATI control panel to run at 4x AA, 8x AF.

Thanks for the key commands, I spent 30 mins last night complete lost as to how to control anything.

BTW from memory I think its the J and K control the commanders hatch.

I cannot get antialiasing to work with the nvidia control panel either.

All key commands can be found in the readme which is in the Open/Docs file.

H opens the turret hatch and J closes it. Also pressing 6 in external view will toggle open and closed turret/drivers hatches.
