Hi BVM,Your quite correct. The Royal Canadian Air Force's advanced trainer was called 'The Harvard.'
and they were all painted 'Yellow' for the highest inflight visibility.
This aircraft was the last step that Cadet Pilots would fly
before advancing to single engined fighters or multi-engined bombers.
Being American designed,
the USAAF/USAF called them 'AT-6 Texans'.
the USN had the 'SNJ' and the RCAF the 'Harvard'.
No matter what her name was her sound was unmistakable.
A sound created when the propeller tip went almost supersonic.
