One more dash into this-
The game started off quite bad, with me seeing this and believeing for a second Switzerland was invading me!
Luckily it's just a GUI dud, and it was just meant to reach here...
On with the game:
Science discovery for the masses...
And some more... useful- than others...
Pushing the research queue, you'll notice in the left hand side a yellow and a red research.
That means I'm asking too much- but the dates are OK for me so... so be it!
Pushing it even more- we HAVE to get to those improved AT guns and Ammunitions!
IN FRETTA!
While the military leaders were instead really happy to see these...
Along with theoretical studies for the mobile doctrines...
and infantry doctrines...
and Artillery ones too.
We develop new Battlefield Doctrines too- Useful for the future for sure.
More Hardware for the
ragazzi...
Even if it costs me dearly in production terms, I think it's worthy...
Ooh, that's good. Proper Mountain Equipment for my beloved "
Alpini" and some needed Operational Level Organisation development.
Yeah, like we can put Italians and Organisation in the same sentence!
FINALLY! Medium Tank brigade is what we need to build the Mechanized Infantry Divisions! YEAH!
There's some work to do though...
Basic values are poor. Poorest of the poor.
We need to change that- so I start to research all sort of advances in what will be the backbone of my Mech. Inf.
And as having better Engines make the tanks more vulnerable (I uh... guess :/ ) I obviously need to improve the overall reliability.
Honestly I think it IS logical. I really like these Tech Trees!
Politically speaking someone notice I'm drifting away from the Axis and don't like it.
I was really afraid something like this could happen... Japan is twisting my arm in staying put-
Ouch- but what does it REALLY means? Let's find out.
Hidden under the Historical-wall-of-text(tm) there would be my flag and the Japanese one too
What the numbers imply is that (first three lines):
I'm drifting my political class towards Allies for 8.41 points.
The break down of how this number is calculated falls under the (Allies) some lines below.
Basically 7.71 of those points it's me trying to wriggle out of the Fascist yoke the rest is still me only dealing with allied nations or simply by being close to some of them (nominally France in Europe and England in Africa).
I'm also drifting 7.38 points towards Axis and again the break down is lower in that text box
6.52 is Japan twisting my arm to stay where I am.
Notice how yellow numbers are factors that cause me to drift "right" and how those red ones are actually actions that make me drift AWAY from the Axis.
In this very case the sum of the threat of Germany so close and armed, and how close to the Axis Italy is already (it works as a safety measure to avoid a Black-Hole event horizon sort of thing that would cause otherwise me to keep on accelerating towards a faction)
I have a minimal "left" drift due to the commercial relations to Russia (big help, if I may say so- economically speaking) and some due to being close to some Leftists countries...
Sorry for the useless explanation. :P
Internally some Minister believes he can just come up and kick guys he deemed too soft from their rightfully elected seats.
I do not like this, you bully. I go for "There's no need" and save myself from some quite heavy (and rightfully felt) revolts...
I like to think this is connected to my good choices!
Now, Far East looks bleaker and bleaker...
As usual (I swear the game does it for me on purpose), I'm pretty happy with my doing, and such things pop up- AGAIN.
Somehow it almost (very very almost) makes me feel like being there. I can see where all this is going and I can't do anything to help- Just shake my head in disbelief.
Till next gaming night... (providing kids are well enough)
Side thought of the day.
Kids are equally part "Sweetness of the Heart" and "Guerrilla Warfare".
