'The Heat'
I don't think I've laughed so much at a movie for a long,long time.
I didn't know who Melissa McCarthy was except she is one funny lady. She's been in a few films recently. Identity Thief and Bridesmaids are the two biggest ones. She was a regular on The Gilmore Girls years back and more recently on Mike and Molly. Little known tidbit: she had a tiny part in the first Charlie's Angels film in 2000. The Jedi Master

Almost forgot, saw Turbo.
Decent film for kids, my daughter really liked it. For adults, well, it's not as good, but it still beats Planes or The Croods.

Melissa McCarthy proves yet again that fat women can get leading roles in Hollywood if they're funny. I find her annoying!

I liked her in Bridesmaids, but I think Identity Thief was too much. She's basically a female Jack Black...good in measured doses only.

The Cell was the only movie I think she was decent. EDIT: First half of Cloud Atlas. While I think it's rather preachy, the story is wonderfully woven.

Last night I watched 'The Bohemian Girl' with Laurel and Hardy.
In fact I am working my way through all 21 discs of a box set, with 4-5 films per disc. All in black and white, none of the coloured versions. I love these guys.Good clean comedy and very very funny.

Ugh, I can't stand watching a B&W film after it's been "altered." The lighting requirements for B&W differ totally from color. If you don't like B&W, like my wife doesn't, that's fine, but don't ask for a color version.
Many a TV show in recent decades have made an episode or 2 in B&W and when they just desaturate the color it always looks WRONG. Sure, it's B&W, but it doesn't look like an old native B&W image.
You need to go the proper route. I believe the Moonlighting episode used the classic methods, possibly the X Files one too. The ST Voyager B&W holodeck was all faked and didn't look correct either.
