Impressive!

How did you paint the lozenge camo on the bottom? I'm doing a 1/72 D VII at the moment, and just decided that the lozenge can go jump.

The plane is made as an ARF model. So it was already painted and the covering was already in place.

Here is some of my 1/4 Scale RC WW I airplanes, all are powered by gasoline engines. They are Balsa USA kits, biult covered and paint by me. All are great flying airplanes.

The Eindecker looks like a Bleriot XI. Were they based on the same plane?

Eindecker was based on a Morane Saulnier G

Morane-Saulnier H would be more correct.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Thanks Guys for the nice comments. WW I scale aircraft are my passion, each model is built to reflect the markings and color scheme of the pilot who flew them. I research each aircraft I build and decide on the scheme of the plane based on the pilots accomplishments, his character and the era in which it was flown. I add as much scale detail possible, cockpit instrumentations and controls, pilot, guns, etc. I am currently building a 1/4 scale French SPAD XIII, it should be flying in the spring. Just in time for the War bird Dawn Patrol events scheduled next year. The big event, the Dawn Patrol event at the USAF Museum at Dayton Ohio in September 2014, which marks the beginning of WW I. This is an international event, I told that folks from around the world attend this event. It is held every two years.

I also do the club web site http://okbarnstormers.com/

Thanks again for the kind words
Rich

Naunton Beauchamp Worcestershi...
Just wondering; does the E111 have wing warping or do you have to have ailerons on scale models?
Superb models old chap, no wonder many of the pilots seem to be smiling! smile

I elected to use ailerons rather than scale wing warping, not much control in windy conditions. As it is the Eindecker a very stable flier.

Thanks
Rich
