After nearly two hours of standing still at 881.9MB, I decided to cancel the download and start it again. Now it's just stuck "Checking for updates". Guess ED's servers have buckled under the load. I suppose that's what happens when you release a patch and a highly anticipated module at the same time. EDIT: A few minutes later the auto-updater picked up from where it left off. A nice feature that I wasn't aware of; good to know!

I have both the DCS site downloading it, and the torrent. DCS is downloading at about 30 to 40 kb/s. Torrent is going at 950 and says that I'll have it in 2 hours. I think the torrent is going to win. Trouble is, of course, is that the torrent is a complete reinstall of DCS World. Will that mean that I will have to reinstall the A-10 and P-51, too?

You will have to re-DL every module you have, yes. So all the DCS World files, and A-10 and P-51 if those are the only 2 you have.
I have A-10, Ka-50, FC3, and CA, so it's not something I want to do.
Anyway, a mere 7 hrs later my DL is done.
I wonder how 777 hosts its stuff? They're not as fast as the torrents, but even on new update day they seem to suffer less choking.
