Good news... As I just installed OFF recently, I still needed to download a couple of mods at Combat Ace. If the problem goes on, any chance of finding them somewhere else ?

I've just posted info on a new version of OFFbase, so check it out. Hopefully other mod authors will follow suit. Right now there's no topic in the Downloads forum for OFF, so hopefully that'll be sorted soon.

How about directing us to the FAQ article that describes the process for uploading our files to the Downloads Section.

Oops, sorry, I missed Lothar's post on the previous page... Modders, see this post from guod about hosting files at SimHQ. We have our work cut out for us restoring all our OFF files. Do you suppose OvS is still available to sort out the expected chaos for us? OlPaint

Hi Chaps! I spent the day checking in on CombatAce and wondering why the site was down. I also frequent SimHQ and I'm glad I took a look at the OFF board. Of course, seeing such a high number of people viewing made me a bit suspicious that I wasn't the only one getting a 404 with CombatAce. I'll be glad to hear what happened to the site. It will be a big loss if the rich amount of posts created over the last few years winds up being lost for good. That said, I've been around SimHQ for a long time - I used to live on the European Air War board, which is still alive and kicking all these years later. This is a good home for us, should the need be more permanent. Glad to see my fellow OFFer's making their way here - safe harbor and all. Gads, I must sleep - nearly 3Am here!

I still have hope, that we will also be able to get back to the old forum again. I had lots of stuff uploaded there, it looked great, it "felt" fine and easy to communicate; and I made good use of the PM system with a few friends. I'd miss it.

Hi Guys,
We cannot and will not keep swapping official forums unless circumstances beyond our control dictate otherwise.
This is the new Official Forum for OBD OFF and WOFF.
I am sure once CA is up again the old forum will exist but we as a company need one reliable point of contact for technical queries and announcements, and asof yesterday that place is now SimHQ.

Well, well, well, All change at Crewe. I wonder what on earth happened to the CombatAce site. How very odd. I hope someone hasn't locked the coin box for the meter and disappeared on holiday with the only key. He'll be popular. We all know sites go down, but the deafening silence is very odd and a bit out of character for a pretty well run site I always thought. Makes you wonder if it's something uber-serious. Life goes on however, and hello to all the new faces!

Life goes on however, and hello to all the new faces! Hardly 'a deafening silence'; with CA featuring TW sims prominently, it's to be expected that the CA folk are responding on the TW forums, as indeed they are, to the effect that CA will be back up at some point: http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB3w/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=9132
