Hmm... You say the new DCS is a Highly Requested US fixed-wing, and that narrows it down to the F-16 and F-18. F-18 is carrier ops, and you are posting pictures of new Ship models. So I can only guess what the next DCS is.

That Molniya deserves a Hornet launched -84 just above the water line.

Great looking ships. Hopefully, it means that the DCS:Hornet is next together with carrier ops (and a possible F-14B mod in the future wink ).

F/A-18 would be cool, but DCS-AEGIS would be top!

Nice ship models.

So DCS: F-18 Hornet it is, huh? smile

Small detail but all USN FFG-7s have had their forward rail launcher removed since ~2005. This leaves the OHP (Oliver Hazard Perry) Class without any missile armament. Just check out some photos at navy.mil.

Again small detail but thought the designers might be interested to know.

I wonder if the damage models for the ships will be updated?

It would be neat to get a couple of F/A-18 export variants (ie. CF-188). It would be neat to have the option of a working night identification lamp and CRV-7's at least (even though, the modernized variants become more complicated as a result of some of the avionics variations).

Although I for one would love a good Tomcat... the F-14 has sailed into retirement. Let virtual time move on and go with an F/A-18 Echo or Foxtrot. It's a workhorse platform that while not ideally suited for air to air would provide some great mission diversity in all aspects of combat deployment.

DCS F/A-18 would be sweet.

The most important thing in fighting was shooting, next the various tactics in coming into a fight and last of all flying ability itself.

What's wrong with the F-15 (both) ?

When one installs DCS A-10C, the two aircraft we see are the A-10C and...

Isn't the F-15 we see when we install DCS a hint...

Dual role in two different models, recently de-classified (except the radar), close match for the Whartog joystick...

Or Did I miss something ?

In reality, so is the F-18 with regards to the stick.

Also, I believe there is an E model F-18 -1 out there to be had. Same goes for the F-15E, however, it is the origal posting plus a few changes and is way outdated.

TBH, I would love the F-15...but would be perfectly happy with either provided they get the modeling correct and have some good firm data to go by.
