The patch makes things worse for me.

Missing buildings
Unable to change buildings amount in video options. I can change it in the optins but it does nothing in game.
Much lower FSP over towns.

Very poor patch on my system.

Try switching screen size and generally encourage another config file to be written

I tried removing the conf.ini and the cache folder to let new ones get built, it didn't help. It seems random even if I get buildings or not, 1 in 3 times I will get no buildings at all. I am delighted many are reporting a big improvement, it means the devs are getting there. Hopefully the devs notice that a small number of people are still having problems befoer the official release.

I went from "not struggling" to "rather struggling" with this patch. Go figure. I had gotten the game to play quite fluidly (London was even playable) using the nossao mod. Now with this latest patch I get a definite rubberbanding effect. Not really stutters per say but the frames are sped up and than slowed down. I revert/re install the previous "parts" folder and the game is fluid again. Maybe I should not fix what isn't really broke but I would like to run the latest version so I can do multiplayer.

Strangely enough it's smooth over London but the Free Flight mission in France second part of my vid it's shocking and you can see how the landscape looks like. It's like 2 different games OK over Britain but France is crap

Just tried a dogfight over the LeHavre docks and as soon as I'm over the area (alt: around 2.5kms) and look at the docks, FPS will drop to unplayable levels. Look away from the docks and FPS soar back up to 40-50 or so ... look at them again: Slideshow. Interestingly, during the stutters, GPU-usage will drop to ridiculous levels (13-15%). Once things go smooth again, it'll go back up to 70 - 99%.

Yes industrial areas are a no go for me also. Here is a clue for the developers; when I am over houses or fields my video card is working hard and I get good frame rates but if I fly over industrial the card seems to quit and frame rates drop. I have my card temp overlayed in game and it is around 70 when smooth over land but drops to 55 over industrial indicating that it is not working hard or at all.

^ Looking at the docks at Le Havre. Note low GPU-usage and FPS (GPU: 19%, FPS 6)

Same location, but looking up at the sky.

Couldn't really grab a shot of it, but doing a Split-S over the docks made it very clear that the industrial area must be at fault: While puliing up and viewing the *city* underneath, FPS were normal and steady. Completing the maneuver, the docks came into view and instantly the GPU-usage dropped and the game turned into a slide show.
