Hello everyone,
I'm mainly a WW2 guy but this sim looked too awesome to pass up. Finally built my new pc, took my first flight in A10 last night and it was a blast. I'm having a few controller issues. My rudder pedals (CH pro pedals) felt VERY touchy. I would barely move them, even rest my feet barely one way and the plane would slide. How can I make them less touchy? Are the in sim tools pretty good? It looks complex.
I also have the x52, that seemed touchy as well. I probably used 10% of the full motion of the stick to turn the plane the entire time. What's an easy way to tone this down?

+1 for the S-curve, had to tweak it a bit since my rudders were just too twitchy even when on the ground.

Can someone post a screen to what their S curves look like? Thanks for the help.
Also I'm using the Jackbauer x52 profile from the DCS forums, and I cannot get the pinky switch functions to work. Is anyone else using this profile and can help me get it running good?

I fought with the CH rudder pedals at first, but got some help from the folks at the CH Hangar: http://www.ch-hangar.com/forum/showthread.php?7765-A-10-Profile-issuesI turned down the sensitivity of the rudder pedals to 50% from within CH Control Panel, then set the axis curve to 30 and the deadzone to 5 within A-10C. Made a huge improvement.

I'm happy with the handling using these settings: +18 curve on X and Y axis (X52 Pro), +28 curve for rudder and +18 curve for wheel brake (G25 pedals).
If you want to use pinkie as a modifier you need to use fx. LCTRL as a modifier in A-10C options and then map LCTRL on pinkie in the SST software.
I will ignore all ideas for new works and engines of war, the invention of which has reached its limits and for whose improvement I see no further hope.

You can create modifiers inside the in-game options. I've stopped using the SST as it created a problem with the axis iirc. The only thing I'm missing from SST is that I could map PAC-1 on pinkie+trigger and PAC-2 on trigger to simulate the dual stage trigger of A-10. I would press pinkie+trigger which would stabilize on the target with PAC-1, then release just the pinkie to go to PAC-2. Unfortunately, as the controls in-game don't correspont to keyboard presses, it doesn't work that way.

The X52 does have a dual trigger.
