Nice guide, but why do you turn on the CDU/EGI so early?

Nice guide Sim! thumbsup You should put that into a PDF as I'm sure many would like to download it.

Same place as in manual;between APU start and Engine start. Why? Because it gives time to align INS.

I figure if someone want's to read PDF, they can open full manual just as easily. Also I don't have software to create PDF format.

For the Engine startup is it not R-ALT-HOME (for left engine) and R-CTRL-HOME (for right engine)?

But great guide...wish it had occurred to me to do a graphical one!

Actually I'd like to hear from Paul about how they do things in RL, wrt any streamlining of procedures. A lot of ramp start tutorials have you start both engines and then align the Nav platform. Seems a huge waste of four minutes sitting there with your thumb up your arse while you are using two engines to convert fuel into noise. Why not use ground electrics to get the alignment started and save the gas?

Cheers!

I'm curious what the RL answer to this is too. However at runway makes sense to me after reading in a forum somewhere something alluding to not arming it until after plane was out of shelter. Having the ejection seat go off while you were still sitting in a shelter could ruin your day really quickly darkcloud

Does it really matter about the seat? It's not a system that's dependent on another so whether you arm the seat first, middle or last so long as it's armed what does it matter?

Unless you're one of those Yes sir! No sir! By the book sir! I know there's a spot on the tip of my boots sir! type.

Just because it's written that way doesn't mean a local base doesn't have a deviation to that order. TO are guidelines, if you come up with a better plan you can deviate as long as it's in a safe manner.

You're kidding, right? Not following a Dash-1 is a perfect way to loose your wings or get Q3.

As I said a local base may have a deviation to that Dash-1 in place.
