Sweet! You should see about getting that implemented as skin in the game.

I've been working this jet since we got it, but she's not "mine". I should submit my jet when I get her from Osan via Hill AFB (C-mod) 1 May 2011...heh.

However, if anybody's looking from DCS: A-10C...be the first on the block...

Still sorry about the quality...VERY poor weather for our official conversion day...

You should tell whoever put that nose livery on to let go of the Viper! Embrace the HOG!

Pretty cool to see "Blacksnakes" on A-10's now. I'm assuming that's why there's a snake on the nose.

BTW, why do Air Force ground crews use those full mouth microphone thing-a-mabobs? Do Air Force noise-cancelling mics not work? duck

Different bases have different types, sometimes it depends on how much money the RA wants to let you spend. I have a personal pair of DC H10-56 that I used when communicating.

While I will always be a Tigersharks fan, that may be my second-favourite nose art for the A-10.

Weasy, great nose art! Do they have any ladder door art yet?

20mm, no ladder door art yet. There's supposed to be a process where a pilot and a Crew Chief are assigned to a jet...then pilot and CC are supposed to agree on what they'd like to have on the door. Standard practice is when the jet goes in for a Phase inspection (BIG inspection every 500 hours) we'll remove the door and send it out for art. Rumor has it the pilots may agree to pay a professional to paint/airbrush our ideas. smile

Raptor, we are letting go of the F-16 (management is much slower). We are still the "Blacksnakes". smile

Great pics Cali, thanks! That third one, it looks like the steam is coming out of the gun. Uh, it's not, is it? wink

I wouldn't have thought snake-nose-art would have worked on an A10 until I saw those pics.

And the shot of the two A-10s on approach is great!
