Today is Memorial Day, a time to remember and thank vets for their past, present, and future service... and a day to remember the ones that made the ultimate real world sacrifice.


What better day to announce the virtual warfare between two of the SimHQ ArmA admins and there dedicated teams.


SimHQ announces "Magnum's Maggots vs Wepp's Worms", a virtual battle scheduled on another historic day, Friday, June 6th, 2008 starting at 8 PM Eastern. There is 2 ways for a team to win... 1) Destroy the enemys HQ or 2) at the end of a 4 hour period, the team with the most town captures. (so this game will end at midnight, unless we get a late start due to tech issues.


We will have this WARFARE, capture the island battle on our SimHQ server. (the password will be changed for the event, and the server locked once the battle commences.)


Magnum will be the commander of the West, with 7 enlistees in his army.
Wepps will be the commander of the East, with his 7 enlistees in his army.


Use this thread to sign up, please plan on being there for the duration of the event if at all possible.


Respond to this thread with your SimHQ/ArmA name, if you prefer to be a Maggot or a Worm (no guarantees), and if your willing to take over as commander if by some unforeseen incident Magnum or Wepps can't make it. Also post if your willing to take on the roll of frontline commander. What this means is that Magnum and Wepps as WARFARE commanders will be building and defending the home base, along with issuing general orders... the frontline commander is the second man in charge and leads the fireteams from the frontline, while capturing or defending an objective.


This is a 8 vs 8 Warfare event... please plan for the event, and be prepared to follow commanders orders, whether you have to escort supply convoys, defend a base or town, or attack an objective.


Once each team is set, Commanders will start a PM session with there team to work on the overall strategy and tactics.

Count me in ! It'll be early Saturday morning for me but since it's a pretty unique chance... I'm pretty acustomed to Opfor now so if possible I'd like to be in the WW team.

The only downside is RL might stand in the way as I might have some important exams on Saturday. Ill know pretty soon so I'll let you know, though I doubt they'll be this cruel with us

Can play for the Worms? We are going to be leaving Saturday morning for vacation so I won't be able to stay past midnight, but I would like to get in on this. If you get enough people to commit to stay till the end of the battle, I will bow out.
