Anyone use this left hand FPS gamepad gear? I notice it comes 'free' with CoD2 at GoGamer.

I've had 1 sitting around for a while Bill but I've never got around to actually breaking it out.

If no one else speaks up I'll give it a go & give you the thoughts of Chairman BUFF. ;\)

Thanks Buff; appreciate the offer. Too many toys, not enough time huh?

Do you have a little red book? ;\)

I got one a few weeks ago and although I haven't used it extensively (still trying to finish HL2--I'm on a very slow pace) I'm happy with the purchase and prefer it over using a regular keyboard and the Nostromo I used previously. It's very simple but actually quite comfortable.

I consider it a "poor man's" ZBoard as it feels pretty much the same as the ZBoards I've used in the stores (I don't own a ZBoard) but you're not required to purchase anything other than the CS itself.

The only issue I have is that I'm used to being able to slide my finger between the W and S keys. The CS and the ZBoard have more squared off keys that require you to pick up your finger a bit to move back and forth between the two keys. At first, I thought it would be deal-breaker but now I'm used to it and don't even think about it anymore.

Thanks Buddmann. I've seen reviews of the ZBoard that describe it as lacking tactile feedback due to its rubberoid underlayment. How would you compare the Cyber Snipa in this regard?

I can't remember exactly how the ZBoard feels but I would not say that the CS lacks tactile feel. It's very similar to the Logitech keyboard that I have.

Cool. I have a Logitech keyboard as well. I guess it's time to support GoGamer & SimHQ. ;\)

Used the Cyber Snipa a couple days now. Pretty cool. As a subset of the keyboard it works just as advertised. I do find the tactile feedback similar to my Logitech keyboard.

And the bright blue LED shining on my ceiling makes a nice night light. ;\)

Mine does that, too. Makes me wonder how it is that the LEDs in some USB devices stay illuminated with the computer powered down.

They are powered by the 5VSB (5-volt stanby) line on your PSU. This line provides low-current 5V power as long as your PSU is plugged in and switched on.

I figured it was something like that, Joe. All three of the mode LEDs on my CH throttle come on when I power down.

Something is funny about a Marine Colonel using something called the "Cyber Snipa"...

Yeah, I know Joe. Not too keen on the "snipa" naming. I do tend to use the sniper weaps in BF2 and CoD2 though.

I have tried the mo' light thing as well. ;\)
