Bendix 551-A Servo Amp Indicator ADF
One rather ancient Bendix Type 551-A Servo Amp Indicatoras manufactured sometime in the 1960s or 1970s by The Bendix Corporation. This unit is Assembly 10027-01
Metal cased. Nice condition, albeit a little dusty from storage.. Weight is 1.7 pounds according to data plate. Unit measures 3 x 3 inches for square panel mount and is about 4\" deep.
Condition is \"Used, As-Removed and Un-tested.\" Certainly a good parts source or awesome vintage panel filler for a sim build project. I see no modifications, no excessive drop damage or overall abuse... again, it\'s just an ancient piece of technology, and I am assuming that\'s why it was removed from service.
No bugs or dust or dirt behind the glass. Very, very clean. It appears to be all there. Nothing rattles or clacks. No mods or cuts to the cabinet. Came to us in a warehouse inventory of parts. Minor dents to back of cabinet (soft aluminum housing). Devoid of any tags or paperwork or parentage.Your local FSDO will happily accept this in any avionics mod you perform, right?
This system used the old style 9 pin and 4 pin Cannon connectors ( x 2 units ) on this instrument. Not included as part of sale and we cannot help with replacements.
