Designed to keep complete control of valve stems on any high pressure tire assembly, particularly aircraft. Valve core can be partially or completely removed, at the option of the mechanic. Air or Nitrogen is discharged safely,. with NO possibility of the valve core escaping after it is removed from the valve. No eye danger from flying cores. No loss of valve cores on dark ramps or runways at night, or from losing control of the valve core and having it fly off in some random direction.Valve cap is removed. Tool is screwed onto tire valve. Core knob at top is used to loosen core for slow air release, or the core can be completely unscrewed for rapid, safe release of tire air charge Rotating the core knob has no effect on the mounting of the tool to the valve stem. Once tire is fully deflated, tool can be unscrewed, and the loose core removed and retained from the inner cavity. If only a partial deflation is needed, use core knob to control tire pressure, and secure core when proper pressure is reached. This is brand new, and I have 5 of them left from my career as an aircraft mechanic. These are excellent for heavy truck tires, as well. No crawling around under your semi, looking for a tiny valve core that flew away.
