I agree with whomever said it's not you, its the car.
You've got a Ford* fanboy or a Dodge* douchebag spotting your Camaro and they're making it their target. If you have the resources and time, I'd set up a sting operation and use the car as bait and hope that the same person comes along and tries to do it again.

Ill give you a run down of how i park
Big Super-center store: very end of the isle and walk in. Smaller Store: up front next to an island so only one door can be dinged. Convenience Store: right up front so i can see it the whole time. Work: i treat as a Big Super-center so again folks are so lazy they wont park near me. Home: Car is in a 2 car Garage with only 1 car in it and it is clean.
I never Crooked Park, take up 2 spots, pull to far forward, Always make sure to leave 12 inches of space between front or back of of another car if i only have upclose place to park, I never squeeze in I will circle till i find a space big enough.
I take very good care of my car, I wash it weekly if i can or at most by weekly. So when i do take the car out it shines period, I know the car is a rock star, people point, wave, take pictures, kids ssqueal when they see it I tell them its Bumble Bee undercover and just love how their face lights up. I worked extremely hard to get the car of my dreams and it really hurts when people are being complete and total jackasses. I really thought last night that i didn't have to worry about it I backed in was a Dirt embankment behind me, there was 2 feet between me and the wall and the enbankment went around to the passenger side of the car. Only had to worry about the Drivers side door but there was Foot and half between me and the truck next to it. someone purposely did this and it makes no sense to me what so ever.
Thanks for letting me rant some more, It helps me not want to cry.
Strange story: I managed to get a new used car two months ago - a Mercedes. It's in beautiful condition. Unfortunately, I had it three weeks and while driving in a rather busy residential area a deer popped out from a row of hedges. BAM! It messed up my front end. After getting it fixed I was pretty happy as the auto body shop did a great job. They even cleaned and shampooed the interior, degreased the engine compartment.
Just two days ago I came out from my apartment and noticed a crease in the fender, behind the front wheel-well, as if someone punched it as they walked by.
Like you, I'm single and don't bother anyone. I'm pretty careful of where I park, but I know this was deliberate. It happened on the car where no door could hit it no matter where I park.
Sorry. That's a nice ride too.... though as an editorial comment, I wish Chevy modeled the new Camaro after the 1970 Z28. But that's a different story all together. Hope you catch the cretin.
I drive a 89 honda civic with enough rust and dents to make me not care but I have seen people mess with it anyways and that normally follows with me kicking out their headlight and grill.
And we as its creators don't feel ready to hear your annoyed jabber about it. -IL-2 BoS Dev Team
You have a nice ride and some prick with ears who thinks the world owes him a car just like it can't handle the fact that he's not worth the salary it'd take to get one.

That really is awful Moses. I hope you catch the idiot that is doing it.
I have a garage queen that I hardly take anywhere because of idiots like the one that has found you. Luckily I don't need it as a daily driver so I don't have to leave it parked unattended. It's only sat in a parking lot once that I can remember in the last ten years. I take it out of the garage for a drive and I put it back in the garage after the drive.
The IROC I bought new the day after Christmas 1987. 67,977 miles in 23 years and less than 4,000 in the last 6.
Nice wheels, wheels. My brother had this car, but in Zinc Chromite Green. Some chowder-headed 16 year old stole it. Strange part of the story is that he was coming out of work and stopped to talk to his friend in the security booth. They both heard the familiar rumble as a car started up not far away in the lot. "That sounds like my car." Well it was. The security guard grabbed the keys to his Porshe (944 I think) and chased the kid down..... er, tried to. If the kid was more experienced they never would have got close to him. As it was they were having a hard time and when he finally got onto the highway the car was gone. Sadly, the kid tried to take an exit ramp too fast and crashed it.
You can't have nuthin today without someone with a lousy attitude ruining it for you.
Smart! I used to leave the dog in the car but he just chewed up the interior and licked the windows, if I left my girlfriend in the car atleast she wouldn't eat the seats. What she does to the windows is her problem!

Leaving someone with the car, to pick up a quick carton of milk, is not unusual. I'd like to see that dog ID the guy who keys your car door....lol... And I don't let my dog in my Stealth .
Wheels....better watch that dash board in the sun, it's the first thing to go. If I'm not driving it, I don't park my car in the sun for more than a few minutes, if I do, I cover the dash. I only drive it about 1000 miles a year. Cover it in the Garage. Wheels off in winter. I'm looking forward to MECUM... about 5 more years.....It's a 1993. I've seen IROC '87s on the block already. If you've got muscle (IROC), or something like a factory 'Turbo' (Stealth), you could get some real cash for a classic in 'like new' condition. Depends on the way the market swings. That 70' Z-28 would have brought some real cash.
cept i was at a bar not a shopping center, and was backed up to a dirt embankment wish it was just that.
I got parts of the story mixed up about where it happened. Sadly that puts it back in the deliberate realm. The fact that you might need to buy an old junker just to go anywhere so you can keep that car nice pretty much stinks.

hope i didnt sound like an ass i wasnt meaning too. i put abut 6 hrs into her today got the whole drivers side swirl free need to do the other side tomorrow i figure. It looks like the paint is dripping off the car.
btw wheels i love your camaro i wanted one of those soo bad, Reason i got the rims i got on this car was because of the rims on that model.
No worries Moses, I didn't take it that way. You have an awesome looking car and I think it will look really good over the years since you want to take care of it. This situation is just a bump in the road that will eventually smooth itself out.
I had my first ever new car (Hyundai Pony ) keyed shortly after buying it back in the 80's....blamed local youths as one does, but it turned out to be a little old retired headmistresses that had early stage dementia.
You don't have loud pipes, cruise with window open and loud music and wheelspin in the early hours do you?
