lets be honest, it would have to struggle to be worse than the last one biggrin

(Unless Uwe Boll came out of retirement to direct it...)

I wish they had kept the other one a secret instead of spoiling it, but the first trailer that didn’t show it wasn’t well received so they probably felt they had to do something. I kept getting vibes that reminded me more of AvP2 than the original Predator movie. I will happily be wrong.

I don't think it's spoiled very much. Still have lots of questions that needs answers smile

Funny how I seem to be looking forward to this move much more than I was looking forward to the last 2 Star Wars movies (TLJ and Solo, maybe even TFA)

Looks like it follows on from Requiem.

Oh, hell yeah. That looks full of awesome.

Not in the "wow, my mind has been expanded to the possibilities of alien life" way, but more in the "Bam bam bam, whoosh, BOOM, slicey-slice" way.

That is the best way in an xenomorph action flick biggrin

With a creature character as cool as Predator why do they continue to make films in this manner? I know its just a trailer but everyone is acting as though they know they are in front of a camera and hamming it up and cracking jokes that aren't funny? I'm tired of this type of direction. With the right vision and intentions to create a serious toned project, something really foreboding and interesting could be made about this character. In this current day in age, too many action movies seem to follow the overdone and tired "Marvel" methodology. Its fatiguing and uninteresting. I'd love to see another Predator 1 style circumstance where a Predator crashes or is a fugitive and he lands in Washington State in the late 60s or 70s. Keeping the Predator hidden for the first part would be nice. It always makes the monster scarier when you don't see it clearly. Maybe even have a well written story that not only is set in the heat of the cold war but have some flashback sequences where you see the Predator visiting earth centuries before sort of like Predator 2 insinuated when you see some of the relics they collect. It'd be really cool if it were a combination of Predator 1, The Thing, Rambo First Blood and Ice Station Zebra.

They make the characters as annoying as possible so you feel good about them being killed in the most gruesome way ever smile

I will reserve my judgement until I see it in the theater and then I will post my lengthy review here afterwards.

Just got around to seeing it on 4K..
Uuumm when did the Predator get caught up in an A-Team episode?
Weakest of the franchise I thought.I would have rather it followed on from Predators.

Re: The Predator - 01/13/19 12:37 PM

The movie had a very underwhelming box office performance so this may be the end of the Predator film franchise.

NoooOOpe. Terminator: Genisys tanked yet they still making another terminator movie. It will be a few years but there will be another push to create another predator movie.

Re: The Predator - 01/14/19 02:27 PM

Both the Alien and Predator franchises need to be put away for several years if not outright retired. Audiences have found both to be tiresome judging by the declining box office performances.
