And he was hired by the most prominent team ( HENDRICKS MOTOSPORTS) in NASCAR, won eight races this year and, won the regular season championship and will probably win the NASCAR Playoffs! Stop while you're behind dude. Chip Ganassi made a big mistake, that's all I'm saying...now... you don't like that?

This I did not know. But I do know there was a CASCAR series which turned into NASCAR Canadian Tire Series and it is now NASCAR Pinty's Series LINK

I don't really understand the new points system. But how can a guy with 9 wins not have the championship locked up ? Who was the last driver to win 9 or more ? Jimmy Johnson ?

Richard Petty and Jeff Gordon both won thirteen races in 1975 and 1998 respectively.

Gordon was a very fun driver to watch both in the car and in interviews. Late 90's to early 2000's was definitely his peak.
