And that is the fundamental problem right there: the 24/7 news cycle.
Imagine a person being forced to talk non-stop for 24 hours every day. They will relatively quickly run out of important things to say!

Shoot I saw that after just 12 hours a day for a month while on post in the Middle East. Takes even less time for some people. But, I'd take any of those Marines I served with talking nonsense than these clowns on TV any day of the week. At least they were sometimes funny and usually were self aware enough to know they were young and dumb.
