A Poll For VR Users - 10/15/20 06:11 PM
If you own a VR headset do you use the headphone speakers that came with it or do you disable those and use a gaming headest?

I don't have VR, but you should add a third choice: "I use my surround sound speakers."

No option to edit the poll but if anyone uses speakers instead of any headset sound off in comments!
With my Samsung Odyssey+, I use the built-in headphones. They are pretty good. When I use the Oculus Quest for PCVR using Virtual Desktop, I will occasionally use the built-in speakers, and also occasionally a headset. So, a little over 75% using the stock kit, a little under 25% using other headphones.
For non-gaming art apps, such as Tilt Brush, I sometimes use my speakers to play music, but this is not in-app sound.

Pretty surprised at the results. I removed the headphones from my Oculus Rift within the first week, or less, that I had it and started using my headset, even my elcheapo $40 set is better than the Oculus headphones. IMO

I have a Pimax 4k, a pretty old and outdated headset by modern standards but OK for me right now. It has IMO a good sound from the provided headset earpieces. I remember reading good reviews on its sound when I was researching it and I agree, it's pretty decent. No mike.
