Everyone at the fireworks store were minding their manners and respectful to each other. It was mix of whites, blacks, hispanics and asians at Traveler's Rest, SC. NC fireworks suck so I had to jump across the border to get the real fireworks.

Oh God no. Not that tourist trap on I95. The town we went to is called Traveler's Rest. It's in NW South Carolina. Kids are hitting me up to get the show started soon.

Happy Birthday USA! Happy Independence Day. That was a great narration Tarnsman.

We had a few of the little store bought fireworks, however, I don't think I have ever seen our neighborhood and its surroundings go this big ever. We had folks on three different sides of us setting off the big stuff along with loud whoops of pride. My nephew played some John Phillip Sousa and Ashokan Farewell on his phone,

Happy Independence Day, USA!

Missed the fireworks displays this year, but enough large firecrackers were going off around the neighborhood the last couple of nights I was worrying about the roof.

Yup. Most people really have no clue just how closely contested the war was and that it could have gone the other way very easily at multiple points during the 6 years of armed conflict.
