Got me thinking about the soccer field. Was it grass? How could they grow it in that climate. Searching I found that it is artificial turf.

I have spent some time in Norway, but prefer to live in the mountains of Idaho. BUT, still visit now and then.

I live in Oslo, at 59.58 North.
Temperatures in the summer can vary , but we have periodes with more than 90 F, but they are usually short.
In the winter it varies if you live by the sea or further from it.
I prefer temperatures below 32 F in the winter. Then we keep the snow and don`t have to drive in sleat and slush. The later years have been rather mild and with less snow though.

It's no accident why a large country like Norway has less than 6 million people in it.

We can blame Mr Mercator for making it look large. It's about the size of Montana but far more densely populated.

I have some family friends who live on an island and it seems really inconvenient unless you were rich enough that it wouldn't matter.

Having to get into a boat just to pick up groceries or an Amazon order would get old fast.

Bingo. It's the same reason why the Italian government is offering FREE houses to people who are willing to move to one of their small remote islands in the Mediterranean. Unless you are already retired or independently wealthy why would you want to move there? There's no work to be had unless you want to suddenly be a fisherman.

If I may offer a piece of advice, is that I have found quality of life is inversely proportional to internet availability. No Fly Boy should seek out these spots to live his best life.
