I will warn, this is not interesting unless you're a serious flightsim or flying geek...

I figure a few around here might enjoy it though...

He's an interesting guy for sure. He also did some DCS F-16 stuff which was really interesting to watch. If you need to check if you're doing it right, this is the guy you need.

I'll pop the vids in here if that's ok Zamzow.

By all means - it's not a Zamzow thread, it's a Simhq thread for fellow flightsim geeks!

We have current and retired pilots both civil (one currently flying 777s) and military in our online IL2 squadron. Including one, now 90 who flew F86's back in the 1950's.

I recall a SimHQ member who flew P38s in the Pacific Theatre...Monroe was it?

What did the F86 pilot think of the DCS module?

That is awesome!

The video is cool. Pretty much what I do every time I enter the cockpit and configure the Pig for flight smile Takes a little less time without the walkthrough, the IRSs need about 9 minutes to align, but in order not to rush things, which promotes errors, 15-20 minutes of prep time is a good yardstick. Switches have to be flipped, the route entered or loaded, performance data entered, a takeoff performance calculation has to be made and the data entered. Weather and clearance to be copied. Then we receive the loadsheet and check or correct weights and other data, and then we are pretty much ready for pushback after some checklist reading.

You just reminded me there used to be a guy here named "Hammfist" who (as far as I or anyone else here could tell) was an A-10 pilot...

Then there was Andy Bush who flew lots of planes (I imagine "Hammfist" must have too).

Maybe those guys still pop up in the sub-forums, me, I dabbled a fair bit into combat flightsims but MSFS and X-Plane were my main interests...

And they're about to be again - things got a bit boring on that front for a while there, but wow they've come a long way (and I am absolutely salivating over MSFS 2020 if it lives up to the promise...)

Good friends with the entire X-pilot program since its start. Use to have annual get together s when I lived in New Ulm,MN. Would invite
the team to come visit in October MEA weekends. Many have been involved in X-Plane long then me. I started in October 1999 with X-Plane
5.34 for $99.99. Tom Curtis is a close personal friend. I need to call tomorrow since he should be back from Antarctica by now. out last talk on
the phone was in December before he left.

Have not flown X-Plane 11 since my wife's Stroke in 2015. I keep it updated and all my payware stuff to. But in today's world wonder why. So close to my end of life.
Why. Just waiting to hear from TC, I miss you.
