Picard episode 1 free on Youtube

CBS all access has released Picard`s first show.

It's quite a brilliant marketing tactic if you ask me! I'll be watching this series soon.

In the rest of the world the show is on Amazon Prime.

I liked the 1st episode but the 2nd episode yesterday had me yawn to tears.

was an even better episode than the first in my eyes. Great for both filling in the backstory, setting the path ahead and forwarding the plot.

Watched it 2 times. Signed up for CBS all access 1 week trial for free. Will see if the second episode will get me to be a subscriber.

I watched it on Prime a few days ago... I'm hooked already!

Exceeded my expectations. I will eventually binge watch this (assuming it stays good). Won't be signing up for a streaming service for it though. I can wait - for years...

I watched the first episode of Star Trek Picard on Jan 31. CBS is showing the first one without the subscription to "All Access". I would love to see more but I will have to wait until it shows up on another service to get my fix...
I still can not believe how much I missed that character though.

I checked to confirm it and like I thought, in the USA, you still need a CBS "All Access" account to watch the episodes using your Amazon Prime account so that won't get me around the viewing restrictions. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Only in the US. Practically everywhere else in the world "Picard" and "Discovery" are included in Amazon or Netflix.

You'll be waiting a very long time unless you plan to watch it from outside the US!

Just finish episode 3. It's getting better.

In my opinion you need to give serialized shows at least 10 episodes before you make any final judgment on whether the show is for you or not. It simply takes time to set things up with the narrative and establishing new characters. "Picard" is certainly not the "press the reset button after every episode" approach of ST:TOS and TNG (with a few exceptions).

They used 7 of 9 in the commercials to sink their hook into us and she still hasn't shown up. I hope when she does it will be for more than a cameo and more than one episode.

So if I am in the US I cant watch it on prime?

Only if you pay extra for CBS All Access through your Prime account.

Same here, I like how Star Trek has evolved over the years. Discovery and Picard are excellent IMO and proper advancements to keep up with the way stories are told these days to stay relevant and not outdated.

Audiences evolve over time so it just makes sense for shows, music, movies and other forms of entertainment to evolve as well. Just imagine if the BSG reboot had been exactly like the original 70's BSG in both tone and style? It would not have worked at all.
