Ghosts of Tsushima - New "Ghost" Trailer

Is anyone else excited about this one? This is a game I've been really looking forward to and I see that they finally released a new trailer with more story and also game play footage. This game is looking pretty dang spectacular. I hope it proves to be so and even a small masterpiece. (I personally think that about The Order:1886 myself which deserves a sequel in my opinion) The new trailer shows more of the apparent ninja style of game play and also some platforming. I love the idea of being able to play as both Samurai and ninja disciplines. I'm not sure how they are doing it but it looks great. I also like how its set in an historical period on a Japanese island set in the 13th Century during a Mongolian invasion. It looks like a really interesting dramatic story with interesting characters and a lot of style.

This is an older trailer but it seems more expanded but I could be wrong. I don't remember the character coming out of the woods, talking to his horse and then walking past the grieving lady and the man playing an instrument part. Anyhow here's that one followed by the new trailer:

The trailer isn't new but the game is yet to be released.

meh, who buy ps4 games now......ps5 will be anounced in a few months.......i will wait to get all the games remastered so i can play 60 fps then. still holding hope that spider-man comes to pc......why would marvel choose to lose money on their biggest property ?

I was thinking this came out a few months ago. Unfortunate it isn't coming to pc.

I think the trailer came out in December at some sort of show so the Ghost trailer is new to me. I hadn't heard anything of the game in awhile. I love my PS4. Its my original 2014 launch console and it has provided me great service and enjoyment thus far. I think Ghosts of Tsushima is looking pretty outstanding. I always assumed it would be a PS4 release which I hope it still is being a Sony exclusive it looks like. I hope they don't pull a fooler and push it into next generation only. There's no reason it can't come to PS4. Maybe they'll do what they did with The Last of Us and make a remaster or PS5 special edition later when that comes out.

I find the animations pretty impressive too like when your character wipes his blade off after a fight and I like how its using the dynamic cinematic game play like other games use where you seamlessly go from game play into NPC and story interaction. The, what I'm guessing is pre-rendered cinematics in the new trailer shows the character flipping his samurai sword. I wonder if you can do that in game. In The Way of the Samurai 3 on Xbox 360 you can flip your sword to the dull edge for non-lethal fighting. That would be really cool if the implement that. It looks pretty good but after games like the Red Dead Redemption series, I wish they would work on the horse animations some if they haven't going by the first trailer. They still look better than many including the horse riding in Witcher 3 which is kind of hard to endure after playing a Red Dead game. The original RDR still has the best horse animations around along with its sequel.

I get a little nervous not seeing a PS4 logo on the game and only PS. I hope its PS4 as I'm really looking forward to this one. I also like the idea of a traditional Samurai struggling with trying to maintain the honor of the Samurai way but finding himself having to engage in a guerrilla style combat against an overwhelming enemy force. It will be interesting to see what kind of story they craft. The island itself looks beautiful and a place to get lost in just for the exploration and solitude too.

I looked forward to this but then sold the ps4 last year after getting bored of rdr2. Maybe once released, who knows, i've still got an eye on it.

Oh...I thought this was going to be about a new movie or documentary about the naval battle in 1905 between Russia and Japan. Seriously.

So you bought a console system for just one game?

Don't own any kind of console, never liked them, but I'll wait until like RDR2, it will hopefully come out on pc...

There are no "must have" games for me that are exclusive to a console system so I have zero incentive to get one. I haven't owned a console system since the 80's.

There definitely are for me Panzer especially this generation. Must have though doesn't mean need. Gaming through PC and consoles has been a great hobby and enjoyment for me over the years however. Sometimes they do cross over though. I was glad when Alan Wake did which started out as Xbox 360 only. I looked forward to telling you about it being aware of some of your X-Files type of tastes in entertainment. Speaking of, I really want to see an Alan Wake 2. This time around they could do the open world treatment which is what they had always wanted to do from my understanding.

I've always been a big PC gamer but consoles have treated me to many great gaming experiences over the years.

Ghosts of Tsushima sounds like it is coming out in summer time for PS4 and then likely will end up on a PS5 system one way or another. It looks like a stellar game to close out big Sony titles on the PS4 era. I imagine PS4 games will still be made for some years though.

That and my daughter wanted Spiderman. She maxed Spidey and then we sold it and i bought her a skateboard and some upgraded wheelbearings for it. She loves to skate now, everywhere, including to and from school. Much better investment
