Good speechless. Sorrym I was just so in awe, that was all I could muster. Can ANY of these MCU movies be bad? I hope they can keep up the consistency.

I'm going to try and see it on Sunday. I know there are supposed to be some major deaths.

I've got the previous movies to watch before Infinity War but your review gives me hope. I just watched the latest Star Wars movie and honestly had more fun watching the YouTube video critiques than I did watching the movie. Good thing I was a Star Wars fan BEFORE episodes 7 & 8.

So you're a fan of the prequels then? smile

This is what an Avengers movie should look like, it was awesome and unspoiled by trailers and fan theories. Can’t wait for part 2!
Stay to the end of credits only this time.

Good movie. Two thumbs up.

I noticed one "error" that I can think of right now. Not too huge a deal, though.

Go see it.

I think DC can take their ball and go home. Absolutely buried with how good this movie was. WW... whatever.

Age of Ultron mid/post-credit scene: Thanos sneaks into Asgard treasure vault for glove

Thor Ragnarok: Hela says glove is fake, but was the one Thanos took several movies before fake?

Infinity War: Why did Thanos have Peter Dinklage make a glove if he had stolen it from Asgard?

Thor 3 scene makes sense if Loki/Odin had it replaced with a fake for some reason, but the AoU scene clashes with the IW scene.

Yes, the scenes are really just there to make us salivate, fanservice if you will, but the way these movies mesh so well together, little stuff like this is glaring.

While it happened a long time ago for us, we don't have a time frame of when thanos put the glove on or when it was made, the dwarf didnt just made the gauntlet in this movie, it was thor that only found this now, remember. during thor the dark world we found that loki actions in avengers put the whole 9 realms in chaos, and after the movie when he pretended to be king we learn in ragnarok that asgard enemies were moving against it, and also its allies (the dwarfs),loki problably ignored giving them protection. Thanos made his play when all fighters were weakened.
nova force dizimated, earth lost sourcerer supreme, asgard no longer protect the 9 realms under thor then its gone, avengers dissassembled.

The fake gauntlet in odin vault was for the right hand, not left that thanos use. and thanos went to his own vault, not odin treasure room. Make no mistake though the two writers from WS,CW and IW, admited that scene so early on was a mistake as it put them on a corner, i'm pretty sure they are ignoring it.

Re: Infinity War Review - 04/28/18 01:18 AM

I like that they threw out a lot of misdirection about the events. Unspoiled by trailers, previews...one part of the trailers didn’t happen, but clearly due to being misdirection rather than edited. I think they filmed enough possibilities and had enough fake scripts that even the actors didn’t know for sure how it would go.

Much like Black Panther. Looking forward to downloading it on May 8th.

Re: Infinity War Review - 04/29/18 07:40 PM

Seems a pretty solid movie. Personally I am looking forward to Deadpool 2 more.

If there is criticism, it's that I am so over all these fake deaths in movies. Pretty much everyone that dies is going to be back alive and kicking after next movie.

Re: Infinity War Review - 04/29/18 08:53 PM

Yeah, that’s pretty clear. There are Reality and Time stones involved, so anything is possible. Still, the fun part is how it gets dealt with.
Also due to one of these stones, there might be an indication of who will be an antagonist in a future movie, that also answers a long term question from an earlier movie...

Infinity War smashed all-time box office records this weekend with a $250 million dollar opening in the U.S and $630 million worldwide.

Re: Infinity War Review - 04/30/18 12:49 AM

Maybe with enough money they can convince Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. to stay on.
Probably not. LOL

The industry experts knew it was going to have a great opening weekend but the movie surpassed even those expectations.

Agreed. I think it's an aspect of lazy writing.

"Hey, let's kill off this really popular character so we can drum up some great drama but of course we'll have to bring him/her back later because well....he/she is a very popular character!".

Even Game of Thrones is guilty of that.....

Re: Infinity War Review - 05/02/18 03:48 PM

Saw it again yesterday, just had to it was so enjoyable but I think twice is enough, there is so much going on in it.

I have to say that I'm not a fan of the "false advertising" in the trailer for it...slight spoiler ahead:

In the final Wakanda battle, you see the Hulk running amongst the heroes into battle with Thanos' children. Yet, Hulk never made a full appearance in the movie after the opening intro. WTF?

This reminds me of that picturesque scene In "Rogue One" when the TIE Fighter rises up in front of Jyn and hovers there silhouetted in the sun in front of her that was never in the movie. It's like they put stuff in just to get you to watch the movie and that stuff isn't in there...FALSE ADVERTISING!

Other than that, it was good the second time...picked up on a few subtle things that I missed before.

Re: Infinity War Review - 05/02/18 06:34 PM

Trailers also showed...

Thanos taking Iron Man down in a single punch in Wakanda, looking really dead or unconscious, but that didn't happen either.

In Rogue One, the change came from the movie being re-edited to take on a darker tone. It was a VERY wise decision. They dropped the "I rebel" line too.
They ended up with one of the best SW movies because of that. IMO.

Re: Infinity War Review - 05/02/18 06:39 PM

Also, a lot of trailers are made early in the shooting schedule for the film so you often end up with shots in the trailer that then later on ended up being cut during the editing process.

Re: Infinity War Review - 05/27/18 02:57 AM

Saw it tonight, not greatly impressed. I know you shouldn't over think these fantasy movies but I just find much of the writing to be lazy and sloppy as a series like this goes on, they depend more and more on action and CGI.

I lost count of how many times I thought "Well if you can do THAT why didn't you do it earlier when it would have been decisive?"

The early part of the movie had some great humor however.

Re: Infinity War Review - 05/29/18 12:43 AM

Just went to see the movie and thought it had good (if not a tad overdone) effects. I always liked thor's entrance into battle, so cool.

Anyways, after the ending, I figured that I'd take a stab at how part 2 will play out overall.... Thor (with the help of remaining super-heroes) will most likely cut off thanos arm with gauntlet and they'll use it somehow to reverse time and make the world the way it was. Then destroy the stones somehow to banish them so they can't be used again.

Re: Infinity War Review - 05/29/18 03:23 AM

For the most part I enjoyed the movie but it suffers from the same pitfall that affects all superhero movies. Namely the problem that you have superheroes with powers who could have easily used them to change the situation but chose not to. I think the writers of these movies struggle in achieving the right balance beteeen giving a superhero enough powers so that they are stronger than humans but not too much power whereby they can easily change any plot situation!

Re: Infinity War Review - 05/29/18 12:35 PM

Oh and the Iron Man suit has become ridiculously "advanced". Geordi LaForge couldn't make it do the things it did in IW.
Posted By: PanzerMeyer

Re: Infinity War Review - 05/29/18 12:39 PM

I think the Iron Man suit was made ridiculously good so that Tony would have even a remote chance of fighting Thanos toe to toe. Even then, he still lost.
Posted By: Raw Kryptonite

Re: Infinity War Review - 05/29/18 12:50 PM

Like all of the suits since the first movie, they’re following the comic with the armor evolution. Still, I agree, it’s a bit much. Through IM2 and the first Avengers it was good, but then it gets crazy. Seems like they’re trying to go through the full evolution before killing him off.

Re: Infinity War Review - 05/29/18 12:55 PM

Oh and then Tony just casually uses his super Star Trek medical device to suture his wound? Sorry but that violent stab wound inflicted by Thanos would have most likely ruptured the abdominal aorta and Tony would have bled out and died in like 2 minutes tops.

I finally just saw the movie. I can now imagine what Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is going to be called...
