Wow, this is a real shock as I had no idea he was poorly. RIP, love "Paul's Boutique", great record.

I know he'd been battling cancer for the last several years, but this really came as a shock. RIP to one of the true trailblazers of modern music.

Still remember the tabloid hysteria that greeted their first tour in Britain back in '86 or '87. I were a nipper in high school and I think everyone in my class dumped their Dire Straights records for Beastie Boys ones overnight.
