Warthog Revisited

Warthog Revisited - 01/17/11 07:36 PM

Maybe a year and a half ago to two years ago, the A-10 West Demo Team asked for a couple of photos of mine. Well, apparently the enlisted guys kept the files to themselves and the CO never got to see them! So I got an e-mail from the former CO of the team asking me about them, saying his wife heard about a couple of pictures floating around. He asked me for some high resolution copies so he could hang them in the new bar area in his house.

Since the original edits were at best experimental, I decided to revisit the photos he asked about and edit them again. I got one done over the weekend and wanted to share it with our community here!

Hi-Res

For some reason Flickr likes to either soften or over sharpen my photos, hopefully this year I'll finish up my own database and host them myself.

Cheers!

It has a bit of an HDR look, and it really seems to pull out the details - very nice!

It was tone mapped. The photo is going to be printed on to canvas, so I wanted it to be a bit more artistic, hopefully it'll work as planned. I have found that tone mapped images printed on canvas are a great look.

Sounds interesting - at what size will it be printed?

I THINK we are doing 24x36, at least that's the format I have the full resolution sized for.
