guns sound mod ?

I'm looking for a mod for the guns sound.
Could i maybe replace the sounds ? I dont know exactly which file ( from SOUNDS folder ) is the gun sound for Fokker DVIIF
Any advices are welcome, thank you

There is no WOFF sound mod, because Creaghorn used actual sounds of items from various places for the WOFF series.

It's tough to beat real sounds in a game.

Bronnx, I have Andy73's sound mod. It is still a WIP because he never finished it, but you could certainly dig into it and see if there was anything there for you.

There was one thing I heard in his sound mod preview that I would like to have. The sound of the screaming pilot. I thought that was done very well. Can you send to me the WIP Banjoman? It would be greatly appreciated.

I found Andy73's sound mod, but i think is not compatible with WOFF latest version.

Here was the last WIP of his WOFF 1.0 sound mod. You can hear the pilot scream at around 1:40, I think.

Bronnx, I haven't had any trouble using it with WOFF 2.0.

Was there a gun mod with this, or was it just the Lewis gun?

I don't know, but i wish i could use this gun sound, at least i can " forget " about the issues ( stuttering )

Did you try what Andy did? He used a program that made sure he had all the latest up to date drivers on his computer and now he says he says he's 90 - 95%. Might be worth a shot Bronnx.

Yes, i did now. I tested for about an hour, a wonder happened. I got rid of the stutterings, for about 90-95 %, and now i can use even everything ( almost ) at highest settings, AA x 8, SweetFX, mods, etc.
Now it's a lot of fun to play it

Seems my Solution works for other Players, too... Happy to hear that!

I will work on with my Sound Mod in the next time.

Some small Tweaks still needed to be done in the Sounds.XML-File, to get it working fine with WOFF3. And perhaps some new Sounds will be in there, who knows?

What do you mean, Andy ? Do you know how to modify / make / some mods ???

By the way, thanks a lot, you helped me a lot.
In my case, the USB 3 hub port driver was the culprit. Now i play with almost highest settings, and i have only a few stutterings, not bad at all.

I'm very glad you guys were both able to find something to make WOFF much more enjoyable. Thanks for sharing Andy and for not giving up.

Really? Twin Vickers should have a totally different sound than the SE5a's Vickers / Lewis combo.
