WOFF UE HELP NEEDED!

WOFF UE HELP NEEDED! - 03/19/19 10:19 PM

Hello,
I have just bought WOFF Ultimate Edition and I really need help.
I installed MS Combat Simulator 3 and updated it to the latest patch.
I dowloaded WOFF UE to a different drive, extracted those files and went ahead installing WOFF UE on my C: drive. Everything seemed fine but the WOFF desktop icon isn't
there and there is no sign of the game on my C: drive. I tried installing it 3 more times but to no avail. I now find I have used up over 100GB on my C: drive but can't find the OBD/WOFF folders/ files.
I have never had this much problem with installing a game before and fear I have wasted £28 on the game. I can't even find those game files to delete them from my C: drive to free up the space that I've used.
I don't want to take the drastic decision of formatting my C: drive, installing Windows etc.
I uninstalled CFS3 but not made any real difference to all the space that I've used up. I even cant see the folder C:Programs (x86)
I'm desperate for any help!!

Droogie;

You don't need to install CFS3. You are only required to have a copy for licensing purposes. WOFF UE installs and runs without CFS3 installed.

In order to locate where you installed WOFF UE do a windows explorer search at the "Computer" level for the file "WOFF.exe" if you locate that file you will know where you installed WOFF UE.

Let us know how you make out.

Best Regards

Droogie71, Welcome. You don't need to install CFS3 to install WoFF. You just need to own it for the legal purposes. You can uninstall it. WoFF doesn't need it anymore.
If you went with the defaults during the install it should be under C:\OBDSoftware\WOFF.
Good luck.

Look for the default folder as above as long as you didn't change it. Go in there look for the WOFF.exe.

Right click, send to desktop (create shortcut).

If it did not create a shortcut, are you sure it installed and completed fully? Right at the end it would clone all the aircraft - you would see that happening in a little window showing pics of the aircraft.

Do not just delete the folder if the installation IS broken. See Section 17 of the WOFF FAQ for proper removal (if necessary).
The FAQ also has LOTS of help on installing WOFF. See the SUPPORT page on our WOFF website for it.

Hi,
Thanks for the advice. The OBD/WOFF files were only displayed when I went into my C: drive and they were in VTRoot/HardDiskvolume 1. I couldn't run the exe. as it said I need 'special permissions'. I have tried many times installing the game but have got a blue screen and my PC crashes. I also have an external hard drive and tried to install the game onto that but again no luck.
I'm just about to give up as I'm finding trying to install this game too stressful.
I even got the blue screen when logged in as Administrator!!

Hi Droogie71,

Are you using Comodo Internet Security?

Having never heard of a VTroot.... I did a google search, which indicated Comodo creates a VTRoot directory to SandBox applications it believes is an issue.

WOFF UE has been known to get false positives on various Antiviruses.

Not having Comodo I cannot tell you how to do this, but can you go into Comodo and tell it that WOFF UE is safe and to exclude it from further Antivirus checking?

Anti Virus issues, and false positives are covered in the WOFF FAQ.
You need to disable it, install, also as Stache says disable WOFF UE folders and files from scanning,

Hi,
I uninstalled my comodo antivirus and the Vroot folder is still in my C: drive with other files/programs associated with it. I went into Administrator and installed WOFF and seemed to be working ok. However, I logged into my PC in normal mode and the game wont run. I instantly get ' WOFF: Fatal Error On Integrity Check of Woff - WOFF will now exit! Try un-installing and re-installing WOFF or follow any additional advice.
Would my Windows 7 be corrupted?
Any help would be great
