Why, oh why would anyone schedule the first hands-on flight for a young pilot in training for 7:41 pm in rainy February weather?? Rest in peace, Cecil Rodney Chadwick, we hardly knew ye!
Haven't gone through Mr. Triggers' academy for unruly boys in ages and I think I remember why.

Triggers has a predilection for attempting to land in the tree tops of any forests near the airfield in my experience.

Well, so did I while looking for him in the darkness. Checking the dials can get mighty fiddly without TrackIR and I misjudged my altitude; that'll teach me!
On the bright side, I should get my Ehrenbecher for downing an RFC plane...
