Brighter Rivers Mod - Useful for Navigation after Maps - 03/08/16 03:47 PM
Since I like flying without aids, and navigating by Lou's wonderful WOFF maps,
I always wished we had reflective rivers, which benefit from AnKor's new shaders,
like the lakes or the sea. Maybe one day...
But until then, I thought I'd make the rivers appear brighter, and more like
reflecting the sky light.
I kept the original WOFF rivers, and put a second layer with layer-effects over
them in PHOTOSHOP. While they still have their original art and texture, they
appear shinier now, and are better visible from a distance.
I did not make the effects so strong for the winter seasons (there are 4 different
winter versions in WOFF, and 2 for autumn), cause the water appears dark in a
white winter landscape.
You may find I didn't change them that much, especially from closer on,
but from higher altitude, I hope they appear a good bit brighter now.
My friend Robert_Wiggins made a JSGME Mod of them, which you can download
from the WOFF website soon - thanks a lot, Robert!
Thank you, OBD, for integrating the mod there!
Enjoy!
