Unless you read it the American way, in which case it was two days ago. The update actually occurred yesterday.

Not sure what to do. I only have the release and open Alpha. Do I use the two install step method?

If by "two install step method" you mean 2nd point from the linked pdf instruction, than yes. Basic idea is simple - you deactivate the module in any of the versions (either by using the module manager, or to be absolutely sure - by cleaning the registry entries using provided batch file), then you patch up both your installs, then you reactivate the module in either of them.

Not to be pedantic but wasn't it a German that put a man on the moon?

While working for NASA. Technically, he was responsible for the boosters that provided the necessary acceleration into space. The actual arrival at the correct destination had very little to do with his work.

Actually, by the time man reached the moon, von Braun had been a U.S. citizen for quite a few years.

As a point of fact, von Braun was a fan of the "Nova" design: a giant rocket that would fly straight to the moon, land, and fly back. The Apollo concept actually used (i.e. multiple stages, separate landing vehicle and command modules) was much more economical at the cost of complexity and was not his idea in any way shape or form. But Apollo couldn't go anywhere without the Saturn V booster, and he gets a lot of credit for the development of US liquid fuel rocket engines all the way through this impressive booster.

He gets some credit for being German.

That's certainly the way I think of it. Even when speaking, I say July 4th or December 25th, never the other way around.
