Is there a way to get crashed planes to stick around longer?

Title says it all. I'd really like to be able to land next to my victims when flying the WWI kites. And also to be able to admire all the damage modeling for longer.

It is possible if you edit the mission using the mission editor. You need to open the mission in the mission editor and uncheck the Delete After Death option. Depending on the size of the mission it can be quite time consuming to get aircraft and vehicles to remain visible on the map. Unfortunately if you do this they will never despawn so it is one or the other.
