Never mind the Luftwaffe stuff, what about lend lease Hurris and P39's?

We've got ideas for Kuban addon which would bring these birds to the scene. We'll see...

So, do you know which aircraft will be available on release, or is that hush, hush at the moment?

Yup, I can name almost every unit:
LaGG-3, Yak-1, Pe-2, IL-2
Bf.109F4, Ju-87D3, He-111H6, Bf.109G2
+ two more fighters, 1 Soviet and 1 German

Thanks for the info... I'm assuming we will get the single seat IL2 and IL2 M variant, as both were available during the Stalingrad operation.
The M series first saw action at Stalingrad in October.

Sure, it'll be available as one of modifications for IL-2. It'll be unlockable.
More info about mods in general will be published later in the dev blog.

Can you tell anything about il2 style coops? The question has been asked before by a few people but not seen an answer yet.These were a huge part of the original series, played by many thousands of people through online wars etc.

I can't say now (i.e. can't promise it will be in release) but we want to make this in the future. The technology of single online missions has a nice potential for co-op gameplay.

Looking forward to the LAGG-3. It is one of my favorites in IL2 1946, right behind the IL2.

Unfortunately for me, I'm more interested in any expansion that may follow.
No lend lease aircraft, (I would have bought these if they were available)...
A Channel map or med theatre would get my money too, (no one has done a convincing Med/North Africa sim yet).
Most people I talk to who love WWII sims just aren't that into the Russian conflict

I'll buy it on release, but unless it branches out into other theatres with British and US planes I'm not sure I'll lavish money on it as I have done for example with RoF..

The more successful Battle of Stalingrad is, the sooner other theaters of war appear. Well it's obvious

Not unless you do a Russian expansion with the many lend lease types included.

Good point well made, Trooper I believe I'll be able to bring more certainty to the lend lease topic in 3-4 months.
Anyway I'm gonna stick around to keep delivering good news from the devs and answering questions about things we actually have in BoS

Are the above mentioned planes just the flyables or the full planes list for release ?

Sorry, MiG-3 is not on the list.
10 planes I've mentioned before will be released in Q2 2014. With less than a year and a half which we have for development that's the optimal ammount for quality FM and modeling. We're ready to add more planes regularly, but it depends..
Yes, these aircraft are all flyable, and there'll be no non-flyables
