just got it!!!

and it really is the crappiest flight sim ive ever played.

i was really looking forward to it.

i cant even configure my joystick!!!

You're talking about OIF, right?

I wasn't really looking forward to OIF, didn't seem like a winner to me. I think I'll keep on truckin with HK for the time being.

What did you not like about it? Just out of curiosity.

no different to psf...cant config joystick at all.

no new graphics...the terrain aint what it's cracked up to be, fm still porked...i flew right through the carrier tower..., trapped on deck at 200 kts and about 45 degrees....

what a shocker...plane still dances around like a thunderbird puppet using rudder...

invisible airbrakes, invisible rudders...

now the 3d virtual pit view is gone....it is "fully 3d now"..well that's gotta be for the worse...before at least the mfds were transparent and stayed in 2d and followed you around...now its an alongated, distorted mess that becomes so far zoomed out that you cant read the hud or mfds.

and opengl still isnt fixed either!!!

my gef4 ti4600 renders this like crap...4xAA, 2xAA, 4xAAS, 8xAA..you name it..it still shimmers and jags at evry low aspect angle.

i was very impressed with psf and my gef2 when i got it...it provided a nice fps option to janes f18.

now that pcs are better, psf isnt as much of an issue.

Disappointed to hear that. It's ridiculous that a brand-new (supposedly) sim still has faulty collision detection and invisible airframe parts, especially because people have griped about this since HK was released.

If I need a new coaster I'll pick it up .
