Maybe I did not quite understand the question ...
On the mechanics of iron can be installed as an analog magrez and any other using the appropriate controller.

Re: My engine control unit and mechanization - 07/01/15 06:45 PM

Relative the sensor, some like Mega_Mozg "MMSens" TLE5010, VKB "MaRS", work in digital mode, so need compatible USB board.

I want know if your sensor (KMZ41?) will work with BU0836 board (common board for DIY people), wired as conventional (analog) potentiometer with 3 wires: +5V, Signal, Gnd.

And if you sold only the sensor and metal laser cut parts for assemble the mechanics - to make shipping more affordable.

I bundled mechanics analog magrezami (KMZ41) and controllers MJ16, GVL224_4096-8 which are applied in the BRD mechanics.

Re: My engine control unit and mechanization - 07/14/15 12:53 PM

I bring to your attention the iron mechanics (KIT kit) to build dashboards engine (s) and other mechanization (flaps radiators, shields, etc.). Mechanics offers not painted and assembled. Paint and (or) assembly discussed separately.

His mechanics I conditionally divided into three types (differences in the arms):
- For ore - $ 17;
- For the propeller pitch - $ 16;
- For the other axes "Universal" - $ 15.

Mechanics has several customization options deflection angles of levers:
1. symmetrical (the same amount of deviation from the vertical "self" and "away"): 40 (+ -20) degrees. and 76 (+ -38) degrees.
2. not symmetrical (myself more on smaller or turnover): 57 (20, -37) or (+37; -20) degrees.
These angles are set by tightening bolts (they also serve as travel stops), in the following cases need to change the angle of stroke mechanics, this procedure takes 2-3 minutes and is performed by permutation of tightening screws in the other holes.

As sensors may be used on an axis:
1. do not require the adaptation:
- MagRez from BRD (my build);
- RAMS from Komaroff;
- MARS from VKB;
- A variable resistor using a special plate, the clutch and the longer mounting screws (option kit).
2. They need to be adapted:
- All you want from what is used in the construction of joysticks! eg HH, optical sensors, and other sensors.
Screws for mounting the sensors are arranged on the same axis with the axis of the lever at an equal distance apart, the distance between the screws 34.4 mm.

Electronics (controllers) can use any ...
I suggest:
- GVL4096 - 24-27 dollars;
- MDzhoy16 - 18-22 dollars;
- MDzhoy8 - 14-18 dollars;
- MagRez magnet - $ 8;
- Variable resistor - $ 1 ;.
- Buttons for the handle (three boards - switching, front, end) - $ 5 ;.
- Buttons for housing - $ 2.

In the control unit "Sextet" 6 mechanics GVL224 (6 universal) are installed.
Iron mechanics, axles on bearings with non-contact sensors.

Front panel:
- 2 axes on variable resistors (potentiometers);
- 4 buttons;
- 6 toggle switches without locks in the extreme positions (like 12 buttons).

Total we have 8 axes and 34 buttons.

The case is made of acrylic 3mm thick, collected as a 3D puzzle ..., available in black, white and transparent.

Mechanics with fixation for 5 positions.

The number of positions can be any (how many slots fit on the bar).

The position of the stem is removed by a non-contacting sensor, Mareps.

If the controller or the program allows you to split the entire range into sectors and assign each value to each sector, it is possible to assign a specific action to each position of the stock in the program (simulator).

Inside, there is still room for the installation of a second controller which, according to the customer's plan, will control the backlighting of the buttons. The case material is 1.5 mm steel cut on the laser and bent by a bending machine. Width 31 cm, depth 10 cm, height with legs 6.7 cm.

Re: My engine control unit and mechanization - 02/06/18 12:30 AM

If someone don't understand the purpose of this "red L lever" in the drawing:

[Linked Image]

The red lever under throttle grip is for bi-pass the the stop/detend near end or throttle course.

This "stop" purpose is simulate the 'gate'* of some WW2 era throttles that need be overcome for engage boost/WEP, similar of some modern jet's the "afterburner" detent.

The mechanism purposed is based on the one used in Mig-21 throttle lever for by-pass the stop before afterburner range, is choose because don't require changes in the other parts of the throttle.

[Linked Image]

Now with WW2 games using more detailed engine operation, the Emergency Power is controlled by throttle course instead that generic "gamey" WEP key of early IL-2, for example in Bf 109 of IL-2 Bo'X the rated power is up to around ~83% of throttle course, after this is engaged the Emergency Power.

The purposed "stop" is for avoid player engage Emergency Power inadvertently.

* The 'gate' in WW2 era throttles generally require force the throttle lever for left for by-pass a small 'steep'. Example of this 'steep' in Hawker Typhoon throttle.

http://spitfirespares.co.uk/Website%20products%20501/T%20Cover%201%20large.jpg
http://spitfirespares.co.uk/Website%20products%20501/throttle%201%20large.jpg
http://spitfirespares.co.uk/Website%20products%20501/throttle2%20large.jpg

Force throttle lever for left in domestic throttle is not practical, in the "heat of the battle" the virtual pilot probable end tilt the entire throttle. smile

Disregard, we had an issue with a USB hub. It's fixed now.

Yes, 90% of the problems are due to problems with voltage over the UBS.

In the throttle (throttle) "IMMERSER VR" the main difference is the presence of the fifth mechanics in three fixed positions.

And also the presence of 8 encoders, of which two pairs are coaxial.

Re: My engine control unit and mechanization - 08/29/19 01:07 PM

Hello.
I present to you the new mechanics for the throttle.
The peculiarity is that the movement of the handle is straightforward.
This option has a 150mm stroke.
This indicator can be both reduced and increased using shafts of appropriate length.
The length of the required shafts is "handle stroke" + 100mm.
