LGB aiming issue

I have a problem on LGB in BMS 4.33 the very first version.

I start a LGB training mission in TE and this is how I did it.

1. right click mouse and open recon option in briefing map.
2.set YELLOW CRANE as steer point 7, press ACCEPT and jump into the plane.
3.ARM laser in the cockpit.
4. turn on TGP in MFD and switch STBY into GM with OSB1 & 6.
5.press LIST use DED to set up WPN code and etc..
6.fly to steer point 7 and press TMS UP to stabilize cursor.
7.move cursor on the YELLOW CRANE and press TMS UP again (if I feel the cursor is moving away).
8. drop LGB with CCRP.
9.keep moving cursor on the YELLOW CRANE and press TMS UP (if I feel the cursor is moving away).
10. YELLOW CRANE destroyed.


After that, I fly-by steer point 7 and turn back. This time I move the cursor on the RED CRANE and press TMS UP.
I repeat step 6-9 above BUT the LGB just missed.

I used the same method (i.e. repeat step 6-9 above)on other target (e.g. warehouse) and everything goes smoothly. Everything but the RED CRANE.

WHAT DID I DO WRONG??

It is my understanding that once you move the cursor (in TGP) onto the target and press TMS UP, the LGB will fall on the place the cursor stays.
Am I right?

Hard to say without more info. I didn't notice you say you put the laser in to combat mode, but maybe that falls under the etcetera in "press LIST use DED to set up WPN code and etc.". Maybe it starts in combat mode in training, ironically enough? So that makes me think you are hitting the yellow crane because it's a precision steerpoint and is not actually tracking on the laser? And the red crane shot misses because the bomb is still not tracking, but this one wasn't dropped on a precision steerpoint?

You also don't mention a lase turn. Like I said there's not enough info here for me to know why the second bomb is not striking the target.

I put the laser in CMBT mode. It shows "A-G:CMBT" in DED.

(how I do it: LIST-0-5-DCS down to third row-0)

My DED also shows "TGP CODE 1688" and my WPN code is the same.

I am pretty sure LGB is dropped too.

I am not familiar the term "lase turn" in your post. Would you be kind enough to tell me?

The laser has a gimbal limit, and if you drop the weapon and continue to fly straight you will overfly the target. If the laser reaches gimbal limit before the bomb impacts the laser will lose track on the target and the bomb will miss. To avoid this, after releasing the weapon, the jet is put in to a lase turn, which is a slow banked turn to one side or the other. I always go left, and hold bank angle of about 30 degrees. This slow turn keeps the laser within gimbal limit so that the laser continues to illuminate the target until impact.

Tried your lase turn and I hit the RED CRANE as wished.
Looks like failure to do that is the reason I missed.

2 New questions arise.

I install 4..35 and tried TE again.

I follow the following steps,
1.turn on TGP and set up GM with OSB1.
2.change to steer point 7.
3.when seeing the harbor press TMS UP.
4.flying closer and press TMS DOWN.
5. move TGP cursor on the RED CRANE and press TMS UP again.

BUT,

Question 1:
In step 5, TGP always lock on the warehouse next to the RED CRANE.
I drop LGB and it hits the warehouse not the crane.

I guess it is the TMS UP part that go wrong, but don't know how to fix it.

Question 2:

When moving TGP cursor I can't control the moving speed.
Sometimes it moves too slow, but sometimes it just "skip" to other place.
That is, move TGP cursor on RED CRANE and press TMS UP, but the moment I press TMS UP the cursor jump to the warehouse.

I hope they give an answer because I have a similar problem and I face something similar evrytime I use this weapon.

I became so depressed that I started to avoid this weapon and use something else, even if not really effective
