F-16C 50/52 weight question - 08/12/10 02:41 AM

Hey everyone,

I'm new and I don't have the game but I'm hoping some of you hard core simmers here may know something about the F-16C Block 50/52 weights: normal air-to-air load, empty and maximum loaded. Most figures I find on the internet are identical to Wikipedia's Block 30 weight numbers and we all know just how reliable that can be.

I can't find definite numbers on these weights. If anyone has those numbers please post them. Thanks!

Information can be found on Lockheed Martin's website. Other than their information, I can't discuss the exact numbers.

There is the Flight manual of F-16 block 50-52+ available on internet where you will get all those informations. In this flight manual there is the procedure to calculate manually fuel and weight load out.

You will get information about the aircraft. It is even possible to get the real check-list fo the F-16 with the option to calculate Vref and Vr speed from it as well as landing and approach speed.

Use a search engine (I suggest startpage.com to avoid troubles) or ... Give a try around internet.

I found the F-16 block 25 flight manual long time ago.

Sections 1 and 5 of the -1 and appendix A from -1-1 should help.
http://publicintelligence.net/hellenic-air-force-f-16cd-flight-manuals/

Here is what I've come across
Aircraft operating weight 20,168 lbs (C model)
Maximum operating weight 48,000 lbs
Combat weight is usually 50% internal fuel and weapons for AA engagement. ~ 23,500 lbs

AA weapon loading depends on mission but I've seen mostly outboard-inboard 120-9-AG with some 120-120-AG. In an AA-only mission I've seen in order of decreasing likelihood: 120-120-9, 120-9-120, 120-120-120, and 120-9-9. I am very uncomfortable flying without an AIM-9 at all. If I am SEAD escort then I might bring only 120 since real escort has AIM-9 if a merge is required. In AG if I have to fire more than 2x120 then something is very wrong.

It is a secret operation. NATO headquarter is preparing an important mission, I would like to tell you all the details but you know it is classified... I am sorry Charlie but I can't tell you everything.

Ahahah. I didn't even notice it was an old message, I was just trying to be supportive.

Frederf did even better gave the link that I didn't know it exist. I got the manual through a buddy by e-mail but it is nice to see that now is easier to get it. There is even the real F-16 check list available where it is possible to get a chart to make a quick Take-off speeds calculation, so Pappy , if he is still alive, should have enough info to find what he was looking for.
